According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Florida was 9.7% (sa) in September, 2011. Among all Florida counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hendry (15.9%), Indian River (13.4%), and St. Lucie (13.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Lafayette (6.4%), Monroe (7.1%), and Franklin (7.4%).
