According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 7.1% (sa) in October, 2008. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Franklin (10.6%), Perry (9.7%), and Pulaski (9.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (3.9%), Woodford (4.2%), and Schuyler (4.6%).
