According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 10% (sa) in May, 2009. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Boone (15.3%), Winnebago (15.1%), and Clay (13%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (4.3%), Schuyler (5.8%), and Cass (6.6%).
