According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9.7% (sa) in December, 2010. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Grundy (12.7%), Montgomery (12.6%), and Boone (12.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (5.9%), Washington (6%), and McLean (6.4%).
