According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9.5% (sa) in March, 2011. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Grundy (13.6%), Boone (12.6%), and Kankakee (12.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washington (6.2%), Brown (6.2%), and McLean (6.3%).
