According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9% (sa) in July, 2012. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Alexander (13.5%), Pulaski (12.9%), and Johnson (12.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Woodford (6.1%), Brown (6.3%), and Effingham (6.7%).
