According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9% (sa) in May, 2012. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Alexander (11.8%), Pulaski (11.2%), and Johnson (11%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (5.5%), Woodford (5.6%), and McLean (6.1%).
