According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9.1% (sa) in August, 2013. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Alexander (13.7%), Pulaski (13.2%), and Franklin (12.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washington (5.9%), Brown (6.3%), and Jo Daviess (6.5%).
