According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9.2% (sa) in July, 2013. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Alexander (13.4%), Pulaski (13.2%), and Johnson (12.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (6.5%), Jo Daviess (6.8%), and Washington (6.9%).
