According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 7.9% (sa) in March, 2014. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Alexander (12.1%), Pulaski (11.4%), and Grundy (10.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (5.2%), Washington (5.7%), and Monroe (6.1%).
