According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 10.7% (sa) in April, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): LaGrange (19.4%), Elkhart (19.3%), and Noble (17.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (5.5%), Monroe (6.3%), and Hamilton (6.3%).
