According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 9.8% (sa) in February, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): LaGrange (20.4%), Elkhart (20%), and Noble (18.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (6.3%), Hamilton (6.4%), and Monroe (7.2%).
