According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 10.7% (sa) in July, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Elkhart (17.8%), Noble (17.5%), and Fountain (16.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (6%), Martin (6.9%), and Hamilton (6.9%).
