According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 10.6% (sa) in October, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Elkhart (16.4%), LaGrange (16.1%), and Noble (16.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (6.1%), Monroe (6.4%), and Dubois (6.8%).
