According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 10.6% (sa) in September, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Elkhart (16.7%), Noble (16.2%), and LaGrange (15.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (5.3%), Monroe (5.8%), and Martin (6.6%).
