According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 6.2% (sa) in November, 2002. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mason (11.1%), Keweenaw (10.9%), and Mackinac (10.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (3%), Isabella (3.5%), and Clinton (3.5%).
