According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 7.2% (sa) in December, 2004. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (19.2%), Montmorency (14.7%), and Keweenaw (13.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (4.1%), Isabella (4.9%), and Clinton (5%).
