According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 6.9% (sa) in June, 2004. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Baraga (11.3%), Oscoda (10.6%), and Lake (10.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (3.5%), Cass (4.2%), and Washtenaw (4.8%).
