According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 7.1% (sa) in November, 2006. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (13.4%), Montmorency (12.7%), and Keweenaw (11.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (4.3%), Isabella (4.8%), and Clinton (4.8%).
