According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 7.2% (sa) in December, 2007. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (18.5%), Presque Isle (15.6%), and Montmorency (14.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (4.8%), Eaton (5.1%), and Kalamazoo (5.2%).
