According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 7.1% (sa) in July, 2007. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Baraga (13.2%), Montcalm (13.1%), and Montmorency (12.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (3.8%), Leelanau (4.8%), and Cheboygan (5.4%).
