According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 6.9% (sa) in March, 2007. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (20.9%), Presque Isle (17.5%), and Cheboygan (16.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (4.7%), Kalamazoo (5.3%), and Eaton (5.3%).
