According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 13.3% (sa) in December, 2009. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Baraga (24.3%), Mackinac (23.1%), and Montmorency (22.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (7.9%), Isabella (8.6%), and Clinton (9%).
