According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 13.4% (sa) in November, 2009. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Baraga (23%), Montmorency (20.8%), and Oscoda (19.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (7.9%), Isabella (8.3%), and Clinton (8.9%).
