According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 5% (sa) in December, 2016. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (19%), Cheboygan (14.9%), and Montmorency (12.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (2.9%), Ottawa (2.9%), and Kent (3.1%).
