According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Minnesota was 7.6% (sa) in February, 2009. Among all Minnesota counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Clearwater (21.4%), Kanabec (17.7%), and Mille Lacs (15.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Rock (5.7%), Jackson (5.9%), and Clay (5.9%).
