According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Mississippi was 9.9% (sa) in July, 2011. Among all Mississippi counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Issaquena (21.3%), Jefferson (21.3%), and Humphreys (20.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Rankin (6.6%), DeSoto (7.4%), and Madison (7.5%).
