According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Nevada was 12.7% (sa) in December, 2009. Among all Nevada counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Lyon (17.2%), Nye (15.2%), and Storey (13.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Lander (6.5%), Elko (6.8%), and Esmeralda (7.5%).
