According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 5.9% (sa) in May, 2003. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (19.4%), Mora (10.6%), and Grant (9.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.6%), Union (3.6%), and Roosevelt (3.8%).
