According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 5.1% (sa) in August, 2005. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mora (9.8%), Luna (9.4%), and McKinley (7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.6%), Union (3.4%), and Harding (3.5%).
