According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 7.6% (sa) in December, 2009. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (16.7%), Mora (14%), and Grant (11.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (3.1%), Curry (4.7%), and Socorro (5%).
