According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 7.4% (sa) in September, 2009. Among all New Mexico counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Luna (13%), Mora (12.9%), and Grant (12.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Los Alamos (2.7%), De Baca (4.2%), and Curry (4.2%).
