According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 6.5% (sa) in June, 2003. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Bronx (10.7%), Kings (9.2%), and New York (7.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (3.8%), Saratoga (4%), and Putnam (4.1%).
