According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 4.9% (sa) in April, 2005. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (7.4%), Bronx (7%), and Lewis (6.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (3.2%), Saratoga (3.5%), and Putnam (3.5%).
