According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 5% (sa) in August, 2005. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Bronx (7.1%), Kings (6%), and St. Lawrence (5.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (2.6%), Saratoga (3.2%), and Warren (3.5%).
