According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 4.3% (sa) in April, 2007. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (6.5%), Essex (6.3%), and Lewis (6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (2.9%), Putnam (3%), and Westchester (3.1%).
