According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 4.5% (sa) in August, 2007. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Bronx (7%), Kings (5.7%), and Montgomery (5.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (2.2%), Saratoga (3.3%), and Putnam (3.3%).
