According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 4.8% (sa) in February, 2008. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (9%), Schoharie (8.8%), and Montgomery (8.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (3.4%), Putnam (4.1%), and Nassau (4.3%).
