According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 8.4% (sa) in January, 2011. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (13.2%), Oswego (12.5%), and Bronx (12.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (6.7%), Nassau (7.4%), and Saratoga (7.5%).
