According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 8.4% (sa) in September, 2011. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Bronx (12.2%), Fulton (10.3%), and Oswego (10.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (6%), Saratoga (6.5%), and Ontario (6.7%).
