According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 8.7% (sa) in March, 2012. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (14.7%), Bronx (12.9%), and Lewis (12%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (6%), Nassau (7.1%), and Putnam (7.2%).
