According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 4.7% (sa) in January, 2017. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hamilton (9.6%), Lewis (8.9%), and Allegany (8.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Nassau (4.2%), Queens (4.4%), and Putnam (4.4%).
