According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Ohio was 10.5% (sa) in August, 2009. Among all Ohio counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Highland (16.2%), Clinton (15.7%), and Meigs (15.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Geauga (5.9%), Medina (6.7%), and Lake (7.2%).
