According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Oregon was 7.8% (sa) in February, 2003. Among all Oregon counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Grant (12.7%), Wallowa (12.7%), and Harney (12.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Benton (5.8%), Polk (6.9%), and Gilliam (7.4%).
