According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 8.1% (sa) in August, 2010. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Presidio (18.8%), Starr (16.6%), and Zavala (16%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hemphill (3.6%), Hartley (4.1%), and Sterling (4.3%).
