According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 7% (sa) in February, 2012. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Willacy (17.4%), Starr (15.8%), and Sabine (15.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): McMullen (2.7%), Hemphill (2.9%), and Reagan (3.3%).
