According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 6.5% (sa) in April, 2013. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Willacy (15.4%), Hale (15.2%), and Starr (14.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): McMullen (2.4%), Hemphill (2.8%), and Hartley (2.8%).
