According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 6% (sa) in November, 2013. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Starr (14.8%), Willacy (14.8%), and Zavala (14.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): McMullen (2.3%), Shackelford (2.7%), and Hemphill (2.8%).
