According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 5.2% (sa) in July, 2014. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Starr (14.1%), Zavala (13.8%), and Willacy (13.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): McMullen (1.8%), Kenedy (2.4%), and Hemphill (2.7%).
