According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 5.5% (sa) in March, 2014. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Starr (15%), Willacy (13.7%), and Zavala (13.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): McMullen (1.8%), Hemphill (2.4%), and Hartley (2.5%).
